Jeep Vs. Tree

One of my most popular posts of all time has been the How To Kill a Jeep video.

To supplement that, I found this great posting of Jeep Vs. Tree. Appearantly some guy thought his new Wrangler was indistructable and tried to poke a tree limb through it.

Just a 4×4 tip for those uninitiated in the audience. Try to drive over logs the short way, not the long way.

Broncos Meltdown – EXPLAINED!

If you are a Denver Broncos fan, as I am, you have had a dismal season. The Broncos have been up and down, but mostly down. A fiasco of special teams failures, inadequate defense and tepid offense. All year long the citizens of Colorado have searched for an explaination. Some blame bad kicking, some blame youth on defense, some even go so far to blame the coaching.

Last night, while watching the Houston Texans school the Broncos at their own game, I had an epiphany. I know why the Broncos have struggled this year. The problem is Jay Cutler can’t see out.

Jay Cutler

If you examine the picture on the right closely, you will see how the helmet comes down over Cutler’s eyes. It’s unclear if this is an equipment issue, or just a mishapen head on Cutler’s broad shoulders, but the problem is obvious.

The poor fitting helmet is restricting Cutler’s vision and causing sacks, missed throws, missed opportunities and interceptions. Hopefully the Denver Broncos organization will read this, and either get Jay into surgery to fix his head, or build a special helmet that he can see out of.

Living in a Tower

For years, my father has had a dream. He wants to live in a tower.

Concrete Grain Silo

More specifically, he wants to live in a concrete tower si Get Back With My Ex Boyfriend lo. Appearantly, sometime during the middle of the 20th century, farmers could order kits for these concrete silos. Concrete blocks and cables to hold them together would be shipped to your location for a fairly reasonable sum. Today, of course, we have all kinds of ridiculous things like weight limits from UPS and building codes. Building a concrete silo is no longer as trivial as it once was.

My father’s idea is to take one of these old silos and build an internal structure with a staircase and an observation deck at the top. I’m fairly confident that if we had an ocean nearby he’d want a lighthouse too.

The point of all this is, that I’ve found my Dad’s kindred spirit with this water tower conversion in the Netherlands.

Rockies Computers Fold Like a Lawn Chair

Our local Colorado Baseball team, the Colorado Rockies, had a bit of a SNAFU this morning with sales of their World Series tickets.

The decision was made by the team to only make the tickets available online. Unfortunately, after 8.5 Million hits, and some serious webserver meltdown, ticket sales were suspended.

The worst part, the Rockies are getting the heat for this when I’m sure they paid a princely sum of money to Paciolan to provide the online ticket sales.
