Bad Peanut Butter

Wow, now Peanut Butter isn't even safe!

Con Agra has issued a recall on Peter Pan peanut butter due to Salmonella contamination.

I thought Peanut Butter was like Twinkies – it would outlast all of us. another dream shattered.

  1. Play it safe – go to All Natural Peanut Butter in the refrigerated section. When you process food to the extent they do no wonder it becomes contamidated!

  3. Hmmm… I’m fairly confident that Peanut Butter that has to be refrigerated would be MORE susceptible to contamination, not less. The processing is usually to make products ‘safer’ in terms of longevity and toxicity – although there very well could be ultimate health effects.

Bottom line, I’ve tasted ‘Natural Peanut Butter’ (shudder). I’ll stick with the good stuff, thanks. ;>
